For Claude, ChatGPT and coding tools

Make your chatbot rent-law aware

Add HomeRule as a connector. Your chatbot gets everything on the website, with the law’s own words and links: an address’s or city’s six topics in one look-up, two places side by side, what’s changing, and each rule in full, for 3 states and 10 cities.

Connector URL

https://yourhomerule.com/api/mcp

No sign-in, no key. Read-only: it can look things up, never change anything.

  1. In Claude (web or desktop), open Customize → Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Paste the URL above and click Continue.
  4. In a chat, turn HomeRule on from the tools menu, then ask your question.

The Free plan allows one custom connector.

Try this first

Use HomeRule: what renter protections apply at 471 Columbia Rd, Dorchester, MA? Quote the law with its date, and tell me what's unknown.
Use HomeRule: I'm moving from Boston to San Francisco. How is my rent situation changing?
Use HomeRule: what's changing for renters in Newark? Show old → new with the law's own words and dates.
Use HomeRule: was California's ban on rent price-fixing software in force on June 1, 2025?

Your chatbot words the answer; HomeRule supplies the dated, quoted law. Not legal advice. Check the linked source before you act, and ask a tenant office or lawyer about your case.
